SIGN UP OPEN Emotional Intelligence

Why Emotional Intelligence (EQ)?

Record numbers of employees at all levels are quitting their jobs. When asked what is behind this shift, the overwhelming response is: we want more from the workplace. People are looking towards their place of employment for a sense of purpose and want to feel in control and empowered. They are driven by a sense of belonging, contribution, and recognition. Most of all, they want an emotional connection. It’s a connection most people believe is still far from being fully acknowledged.

The research is clear: In fast- paced and challenging workplaces, emotions can be one of our most valuable assets and a driving force behind performance. Emotional intelligence is key to successful leadership, and, in a world of sophisticated technology and AI, human skills and in particular emotional intelligence will give organisations a competitive advantage.

Our Inspiration Festival will help you understand and engage intelligently with your own emotions to build resilience and be your best selves at work. We will explore how we can lead with increased emotional intelligence to build engaged and motivated team that thrive in change and challenge. We will consider how to build positive cultures of belonging, care and recognition that bring out the best in your people and boost performance.

During the festival we will focus on the following three questions:

  • How can we build positive emotional cultures?

  • How can we lead with emotions?

  • How to leverage your emotions for maximum impact?

Festival Agenda

As mentioned there will be multiple parallel sessions. All of them will have limited seats available to guarantee exchange, interaction, and most of all relevance for you. So make sure to sign up for the sessions as soon as possible.

COMING SOON New Ways of Working

If you can't join us for the Inspiration Festival Emotional Intelligence, you will get more chances to get inspired during our other Inspiration Festivals, the first one being New Ways of Working. The Festival will take place on Thursday October 12th, from 16.00 to 18.00 CET. The Festival Agenda will be shared with you in a month from now, in our Inspiration Festival Newsflash October.

Why New Ways of Working (NWOW)? New ways of working (NWOW) are a prominent workplace topic due to technology advancements, globalization, changing workforce expectations, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the pursuit of productivity and sustainability. It's crucial to address NWOW because it aligns with evolving work dynamics.

NWOW can enhance productivity, attract talent, reduce costs, promote sustainability, and offer a competitive edge. Failing to adapt risks talent loss, decreased competitiveness, and missed opportunities. Organizations embracing NWOW proactively, and building a culture around it, can thrive in the evolving modern workplace, aligning with the changing needs of employees and the demands of a dynamic business environment.

COMING SOON Environmental, Social, Governance

We finish the Fall Festival Season with the all-encompassing topic of ESG. This Festival will take place on Wednesday November 22nd, from 16.00 to 18.00 CET. The Festival Agenda will be shared with you in our Inspiration Festival Newsflash November.

Why Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)? ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) is a crucial topic due to rising sustainability concerns, DEI challenges, investor and stakeholder pressure, risk mitigation, and the impact on reputation, talent, and regulatory compliance. Fostering an organisational culture that embraces ESG is essential because it aligns with the demands of a changing world.

ESG enhances reputation, attracts investment and talent, mitigates risks, ensures long-term resilience, and promotes innovation and efficiency. ESG isn't merely about compliance but a strategic imperative for businesses, addressing global challenges and contributing to a more sustainable and equitable future. Embracing ESG in culture is key to success in today's business landscape.

FLASHBACK Health and Wellbeing Festival

For our Festival Flashback we look back at the Inspiration Festival Health and Wellbeing, held in June.

Why Health and Wellbeing (H&W)?

Health and Wellbeing have gained prominence in the workplace, driven by employee well-being, talent attraction, productivity, safety, mental health, and corporate social responsibility.

Fostering an organisational culture that values health and well-being is essential. It leads to a happier, more engaged workforce, better talent retention, improved performance, reduced absenteeism, and enhanced corporate reputation. Legal and ethical obligations, work-life balance, and long-term cost savings also underscore the importance. Prioritising employee health and wellbeing is not only a response to immediate challenges but a strategic investment in a sustainable and successful future for both employees and organisations.

One of the most InspiringPeople during the Festival was Cecilia Harvey, with her story on psychological safety. You can read the summary of her presentation here, but if you weren't there, feel free to reach out to her or check her profile on LinkedIn.

Cecilia Harvey

"We often hear about psychological safety and its importance, but do we really know what it is and understand just how powerful it can be? Psychological safety in a team means that members of that team are comfortable in the knowledge that they will not be punished or victimised for asking questions, challenging ideas, raising new ones and making mistakes. Organisations need psychological safety to thrive, to have engaged and empowered employees, and to promote diversity of thought."

Even before the Health and Wellbeing Inspiration Festival, Cecilia had the foresight to connect Psychological Safety with the topics of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and Emotional Intelligence (EQ). You can read more about it in her post on LinkedIn.

That's it! Stay inspired, and reach out to us if you have something to share or ask! Alternatively visit our LinkedIn page or the rest of our website, and feel free to share this Newsflash with your contacts.
